Boeuf Salad is a staple dish in almost every romanian household on the major holidays. So, New Years makes no exception. Both of my parents and parentsinlaw made a good quantity of the delicious mayonnaise treat.
Well, to be totally correct we made the variation "a la rouse" salad, that is the "boeuf" salad without the "boeuf".
So, it is basically boiled potatoes, carrots, peas and pickles (green tomato or cucumbers) all diced in small cubes and mixed with lovely home made (lemony and mustardy) mayonnaise. Here it is in stages.
